Welcome !

At Pineview Public School, located in Athens, Ontario, we have approximately 200 students enrolled in classes from Junior Kindergarten through Grade Six. In addition to regular programming, we offer Core French, French Immersion and Special Education.

At Pineview we believe that our first responsibility is to our students and to ensure that they each feel a strong sense of belonging in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We are proud to be able to provide a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment for all our students. Our dedicated staff are tireless in their efforts to support our young learners with the essential skills they need to be successful. Our commitment also includes encouraging our students to exercise the virtues of our Character Always initiative. Through trusting relationships, we prioritize the wellbeing of each of our students and strive to provide a differentiated learning experience. We aim to foster self-confident critical thinkers who have a strong sense of self and empathy for others. We provide a rich French Immersion program across all grades along with a regular French Program. In partnership with our parents and families, we continue to reflect the values of the community and maintain the traditions that make this your community school. We are able to do this along with complete alignment with the UCDSB vision of achieving a 90% graduation rate and to prepare all students for a successful life. We are very lucky to have the strong support of our school community and families are encouraged to continue to reach out to us with any questions or feedback so that we can remain connected and responsive. School provides rich memories that last a lifetime. As such, we ensure that while our students are learning they are also provided ample opportunities for fun and are reminded daily of how special and unique they all are.
